Tahukah #sobatsehat, meskipun garam dapur sering dianggap dapat memicu naiknya tekanan darah, namun menghilangkan garam dari salah satu daftar bumbu masakan bukanlah ide yang bagus.<\/p>\n<p>Menurut <em>Retno Sasongkowati, S.Pd., S.Si., M.Kes <\/em>dalam buku<em> Bahaya Gula, Garam<\/em>, dan Lemak, 2 komponen dasar garam diperlukan oleh tubuh. <em>Klorin<\/em> diperlukan tubuh dalam pembentukan asam klorida yang bisa membantu membunuh kuman penyakit di lambung. Sedangkan <em>Natrium<\/em> berfungsi untuk menjaga saraf tubuh kita yang bertugas mengirimkan pesan ke seluruh tubuh dan juga menguatkan otot saat bekerja.<\/p>\n<p>Manfaat lain garam dapur bagi kesehatan, antara lain :<a href=\"http:\/\/www.k24klik.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/salt.jpg\"><br \/>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<p>1. Membantu mengendalikan gula darah dengan cara meningkatkan sensitivitas insulin<br \/>\n2. Sebagai antihistamin alami<br \/>\n3. Meningkatkan kualitas tidur<br \/>\n4. Meningkatkan metabolisme<br \/>\n5. Mengubah pepsinogen menjadi pepsin di dalam pencernaan<br \/>\n6. Menjaga keseimbangan cairan dalam tubuh (membuat seseorang berkeringat sekaligus mencegah dehidrasi)<br \/>\n7. Saraf tidak berfungsi dengan baik<br \/>\n2. Kelemahan otot<br \/>\n3. Makanan akan melewati usus tanpa diserap usus<br \/>\n4. Timbul kram otot, mual, muntah, dan pusing<br \/>\n5. Menghentikan konsumsi garam dalam waktu lama dapat menyebabkan shock, koma, bahkan kematian.<br \/>\n6. Kekurangan iodium pada janin dapat menyebabkan gangguan perkembangan otak dan keterbelakangan mental<\/p>\n<h6><strong>Batas Konsumsi Garam Dapur Harian<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>Agar tidak menimbulkan efek negatif bagi kesehatan, konsumsi garam sebaiknya dibatasi sesuai usia dengan takaran sebagai berikut :<\/p>\n<p>1. Bayi di bawah setahun: kurang dari 1 gram.<br \/>\n2. Usia 1-3 tahun: 2 gram atau setara dengan 0,8 gram natrium.<br \/>\n3. Usia 4-6 tahun: 3 gram atau setara dengan 1,2 gram natrium.<br \/>\n4. Usia 7-10 tahun: 5 gram atau setara dengan 2 gram natrium.<br \/>\n5. Namun, juga jumlah garam yang berasal dari makanan kemasan seperti roti, daging olahan, keju, dan makanan kemasan lainnya. Disarankan untuk selalu memperhatikan kandungan sodium pada makanan dan minuman kemasan yang sobat sehat beli. Pada masakan sehari-hari, sobat sehat juga dapat mengganti garam yang ditambahkan dengan <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.k24klik.com\/cariObat\/garam+lososa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">garam rendah natrium<\/a><\/strong> untuk menurunkan resiko hipertensi.<\/p>\n<p>Meski konsumsi garam yang berlebihan dapat menimbulkan masalah kesehatan seperti hipertensi, penyakit kardiovaskular, stroke, dehidrasi, gastroenteritis, osteoporosis, dan masalah ginjal, sebaiknya garam tetap dimakan agar kita tidak kehilangan manfaatnya.
